秘訣二：「印象式發言」

演說時，你可以利用意想不到的統計數字（statistics）、驚人的事實（fact），或與一般大眾想法不一樣的資訊（information）來引起觀眾的注意，甚至得到他們強烈的情緒反應。
這類的信息通常能在觀眾的腦海中留下深刻的印象，而這也是演講的主要目的。
以下是一些「印象式發言」的參考句子：
主題：防曬產品發表會
A report that just came out revealed that people with pale skin are 8 times more likely to get skin cancer than people with dark skin.
一則最近發佈的報導顯示，皮膚白皙的人得到皮膚癌的機率是膚色深的人的八倍。
主題：職場年齡歧視
A recent research conducted by the University of Kowloon showed that people under 30 are twice likely to get a job interview than people over 40.

In the magazine Clock, it was reported last year that nearly 45,000 people died in auto collisions in Hong Kong, the equivalent of a fully loaded passenger jet crashing with no survivors every day for a year. If everyone wore seat belts, more than half of these deaths could have been avoided.
