[ET Net News Agency, 4 November 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$116.23 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.34 billion, or 10.62% of the
market's turnover. There were 662 short-selling stocks. ICBC (01398) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$678.66 million and HK$613.52 million,
or 5.5% and 4.97% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 38.46% and 15.27% of respective stock's turnover.
CCB (00939) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$590.36 million and HK$509.89 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.78% and 4.13% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 28.71% and 17.55% of respective stock's turnover.
ICBC closed up HK$0.04, or 0.84%, to HK$4.79. XIAOMI-W ended flat, to HK$27.3. CCB fell
HK$0.06, or 0.97% to HK$6.1. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.2, or 0.27%, to HK$75.1.
