HK$233.1 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.33 billion, or 12.15% of the
market's turnover. There were 674 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W
(03690) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.11 billion and HK$1.33
billion, or 10.99% and 4.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 12.83% and 17.28% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and HKEX (00388) registered HK$1.14 billion and HK$1.05 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.02% and 3.72% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.08% and 18.05% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.26, or 1.23%, to HK$20.82. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$8.1, or
4.05%, to HK$191.8. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.74, or 0.96% to HK$76.08. HKEX jumped HK$5.2, or
1.56%, to HK$339.4.
