[ET Net News Agency, 29 January 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$171.95 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.46 billion, or 10.73% of the
market's turnover. There were 787 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and ZIJIN
MINING (02899) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$721.02 million and
HK$677.92 million, or 3.91% and 3.67% of the total short sales value respectively. The
transactions represented 13.47% and 20.27% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$668.49 million and HK$651.57
million of short sales, accounting for 3.62% and 3.53% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.35% and 15.23% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.18, or 0.64%, to HK$28.22. ZIJIN MINING ended up HK$1.8, or
4.02%, to HK$46.56. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.6, or 0.62% to HK$97.98. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.56,
or 1.54%, to HK$36.88.
