[ET Net News Agency, 31 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$132.85
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.18 billion, or 15.19% of the market's
turnover. There were 801 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.01 billion and HK$881.45 million, or
4.99% and 4.37% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
12.55% and 33.39% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$841.22 million and HK$759.05
million of short sales, accounting for 4.17% and 3.76% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 45.35% and 16% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.1, or 0.4%, to HK$24.9. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$0.7, or
2.16%, to HK$31.68. XL2CSOPHYNIX fell HK$2.56, or 10.91% to HK$20.9. TENCENT declined by
HK$0.4, or 0.08%, to HK$481.2.
