[ET Net News Agency, 1 April 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$291.42
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.97 billion, or 15.09% of the market's
turnover. There were 836 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BYD COMPANY
(01211) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2 billion and HK$1.93 billion,
or 4.55% and 4.39% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 9.44% and 44.4% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.9 billion and HK$1.8 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.32% and 4.09% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 37.38% and 16.97% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.46, or 1.83%, to HK$25.54. BYD COMPANY ended down HK$1.1, or
1.04%, to HK$104.7. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.26, or 0.82% to HK$32.02. TENCENT jumped HK$12.6,
or 2.6%, to HK$496.6.
