This exhibition presents works that encompass traditional wood-fired ceramics, contemporary design, and everyday objects of refined aesthetic. It invites visitors into the intricate world of fire and clay, where elemental energy meets enduring warmth and beauty.
Organizer Yann brought together ceramic artists from around the world with local residents of Chiang Dao, Thailand, to explore the surrounding valleys and fields and collect mineral-rich clay from the land.
Visitors will encounter the pure textures of raw clay and the natural glazes formed through the interplay of ash and wood firing.
The exhibition reflects distinct cultural contexts and qualities of materials. Incorporating local natural elements, capturing the ever-changing appearance of the clay under different temperatures and glazes, and resonating with the land across borders and cultures.
